I choose to talk about the Karatoa Eruption in 2018, It was not the most powerful eruption on the scale it came in at a 2. No one was hurt or killed. This is a fairly active volcano as it erupts every 5 years or so.

I found this older drawing depicting a eruption hundred of years ago. I find it fascinating that the volcano has stayed active enough for people to witness across the centuries. I have also notice that the picture shows the island to be different than present day.
